Lately, I’ve been listening to Joe Vitale on The Law of Attraction. I used to be one of those people who were cynical about the whole thing and wrote it off as too woo-woo or unrealistic.
If you look it up on Wikipedia, you may find other cynics out there who write it off too. How can thinking about some goal and behaving as though you’ve already achieved that goal, cause the Universe to make that goal happen?
The truth be told, I like others, just didn’t understand it. I am still a student and still learning but the LOA is not unlike… well…real life.
Have you ever noticed that when you think negative thoughts, you feel unpleasant and when you feel unpleasant you tend to take actions inconsistent with what you really want? And when you take actions inconsistent with what you really want, you end up with results you don’t want to have?
Our brains are thinking ALL. THE. TIME.
But we don’t often stop and think about what we are thinking. We get caught up in the default mode of THINK-FEEL-ACT. I have proven to myself, but only 100% of the time, that when I think I am going to fail at something, I fail at it 100% of the time. And when I truly believe I can make something happen, I make it happen.
Call it the Universe or call it the human BRAIN.
It works the same for all of us.
The brain is an interesting thing.
Do you ever stop and think: What is the upside of negative thinking? Or thinking I can’t make something happen by merely thinking about it?(some of us call it “realistic” thinking) I haven’t yet found the benefit of believing my negative thoughts. Have you? The truth is that there are a lot of actions that do need to happen to get the results you want, but you first need to THINK about what you want and then BELIEVE you can have it.
That’s not woo-woo. That’s reality.
Where else do you struggle with the THINK-FEEL-ACT default mode?
